Dr. Tony Tammer

Born in London England, graduated from Capuchino High School in 1962.  Studied for 3 years at San Francisco State, and completed my B.A. at Chico State.  While at Chico, I was an exchange student studying in the Socialist Federated Republic of Macedonia for a year, studying folk music.  I Graduated with a B.A. in Industrial Arts, focused on manufacturing, and was employed in the manufacture of Oil pipeline Valves in Oakland, where I obtained my machinist journymanship.  I was subsequently employed at Lawrence Berkeley Lab as a machinist and mechanical engineering technologist. I Completed a Masters in Industrial Technology at Humboldt State, and was offered a Regents Fellowship at Texas A&M where I completed a Doctorate in Insdustrial Education. My first employment after my PhD was overseas, in the Republic of Turkey, teaching qualitative research methods to teachers, and writing a paper on the strengths and weaknesses of the Turkish vocational education system for the World Bank. 

I have taught machining and manufacturing at Chico State, San Jose City College, Diablo Valley College,  and The National Tooling and Machining Association.
