Background

Growing up in Santa Barbara, California I always enjoyed the beach and mountains.  Moved north to Chico, CA and graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors in Arts Education.  Looking for a forever home I came upon Benicia, where I worked at Benicia High School teaching Art from 2001-2015.  I moved into Administration for a few years at Benicia Middle School (2015-18), but really missed teaching.  Married with two boys, I enjoy going to their sporting events and spending time as a family with all the the Bay Area has to offer.  

I am excited to work at John Swett again this school year, teaching Art and Ceramics, as well as growing our Student Activities, as the ASB Director.  My other roles on campus are the District AVID Director, and the TUPE (Tobacco Use Education Prevention Program) Site Coordinator.   I continue to look forward to getting to know the students each year, and community of Crockett.
