My name is Katie Capeluto. This is my ninth year of teaching as a full time classroom teacher and my eighth year here at CMS.  Prior to CMS I taught 7th and 8th grade language arts in Tracy and substitute taught in Brentwood. I went to CSU Chico and have a Multiple Subject Credential. I lived here in Crockett for six years and I am pleased to be a part of this community. I am the creator of the weekly video announcements, the STEAM department chair, and a teacher of the 6th grade math and science.  I absolutely love teaching here at CMS and working with our wonderful 6th graders! For parent communication I will be using Parentsquare. Although I give twice weekly homework, I will be using this website to post resources in relation to class assignments and projects, as well as extra credit. Please bookmark this website for easy access. I am also easily reachable by email and will be happy to help parents and students in any way that I can. While I am reachable by school phone, it is not the easiest way to reach me and instead of leaving a voicemail I would prefer a message via email or Parentsquare.
