Hi! My name is Maryam Shamroukh and I am so excited to be here at CMS, teaching 6^th grade English Language Arts and World History. I have lived and studied in California my entire life, earning a B.A. in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in Teaching from Saint Mary’s College of California. I am passionate about the subjects I teach because I believe that both are critical in communicating with, and understanding, the world around us. After several years as a 6^th and 7^th grade teacher with other school districts, I feel very lucky to have found a place here in the Crockett community. Let’s have an amazing year!
