My name is Samuel Davis. I have been teaching for roughly 20 years. I graduated from U.C. Berkeley, and received my teaching credential and M.A. from S.F. State University. I am the ELD Supports teacher for CMS and JSHS. This is my first year at CMS, and my second for the district. Previously, I taught 9-12 grade English, as well as being a sports coach, and Health teacher for the previous 18 years, mostly in San Francisco at Balboa High School. I currently teach all of the ELD (English Language Development) classes at both schools. These classes are for students who are still in the process of obtaining English skills. It focuses on the skills of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. We  also focus a good deal on  academic skills such as note taking, organization, goal setting, academic planning, vocabulary, and communication. I am very happy to join the CMS community and its group of wonderful educators. It is my great pride to spend my days doing all I can to support these amazing students, who are already working twice as hard as most other students I look forward to meeting with parents and families to help support these kiddos.
